In addition to retrieving banking data via API, EBICS and SWIFT, Cashlab connects via API to ERP accounting systems by working with Chift to offer our customers an even more comprehensive and rapid service.
APIs play a crucial role in real-time cash management, which is why it was essential for us to add to our range of services and implement an API to facilitate the implementation of a comprehensive approach to cash and WCR management based on 3 axes:
- Financial and Treasury Reporting
- Cash flow forecasting
- Planning / Cash flow budget
Chift in the Cashlab environment
Chift's added value lies in the development time it saves. Compatible with a wide range of accounting software packages, it enables our customers' ERP systems to be connected to our tool in just a few clicks. This means we can offer our customers a fast, comprehensive service.

In concrete terms, the integration of Chift into our solution aims to simplify the incorporation of our customers' data into the platform by following this process:

General ledgers, bank ledger, customer and supplier ledgers, etc. will be integrated in the correct format in a matter of seconds.
Chift: the unified API for software publishers
Chift is the fruit of the experience of its three founders in companies specialising in systems integration. Gauthier Henroz and his co-founders realised that software publishers, in trying to meet their customers' needs and expectations, often came up against a recurring problem: a long and costly integration process, requiring them to start from scratch for each new integration. After visiting around a hundred companies and analysing the problem, they identified a major gap in the integration market. That's how they came up with Chift, a unified API that provides software publishers with a multi-socket solution.
What is an API?
An API (Application Programming Interface) is a set of rules and protocols that enable different software applications to communicate with each other. Gauthier Henroz explains that it is a kind of ‘recipe’ created by a software application to allow access to its information. In simple terms, an API is an entry point giving specific instructions on how to retrieve its data.
The main features of Chift
Chift's origins lie in the fact that companies use a multitude of different software applications that do not communicate with each other. Chift will solve the problem of a lack of connection between these disparate software packages. Here are its main features:
- Transparent, unified integrationIt's a truly unified API that easily connects different systems, such as ERP and accounting software, enabling seamless communication between them.
- Ready-to-use connectors:It offers plug & play connectors for a wide range of software and platforms, enabling rapid, uncomplicated integration.
- Simplified maintenance : Once connected to the API, the integration is managed by Chift, saving developers a considerable amount of time.

Chift's growth plans: a future European leader
Chift's objective is therefore to continue to add connectors on an ongoing basis to meet the evolving needs of businesses. By focusing on extending its capabilities and constantly improving its platform, Chift aims to become the European leader in the software integration market.
Chift represents a major advance in the field of software integration. Its vision, functionalities and added value make it an indispensable tool for any publisher looking to optimise its data management processes. Chift's growth prospects bear witness to its potential to transform the IT systems integration landscape.
